In a letter presented to Argentine Foreign Minister, Héctor Timerman, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre expressed its thanks for the Ministry’s hosting of its conference “Lessons from the Darkness: Euthanasia, Banality of Evil, Justice, Early Warning System”.
The conference took place on the 71st anniversary of Hitler’s invasion that launched World War Two and in the context of Argentina’s Bicentennial.
The letter expressed “respect for the firm commitment, as expressed by both Presidents Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, to bring justice to the families of victims of the AMIA bombing”.

The Simon Wiesenthal Centre and Verbe et Lumiere-Vigilance co-organized a seminar entitled "Lessons from the Darkness: Euthenasia, Banality of Evil, Justice, Early Warning" hosted by Argentine Foreign Ministry. The meeting was held under the auspices of UNESCO, the Argentine Presidency,Bicentenary Committee and Foreign Office.

In a letter to French Interior Minister, Brice Hortefeux, the Simon Wiesenthal Director for International Relations, Dr.Shimon Samuels, expressed grave concern at “a wave of intimidation unleashed, since early 2009 in supermarkets and department-stores across the country, by the so-called ‘Collectif Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions: BDS’”.

La 6e édition de la présentation des lauréats russes des essais sur l’Holocauste s’est tenue hier à Paris sous l’égide de l’Unesco. Au cours de cette rencontre, organisée par Verbe et Lumière, le Centre Simon Wiesenthal et la Fondation russe de l’Holocauste, cinq étudiants de Moscou, Saint-Petersbourg, Iekaterinbourg et Nijni-Novgorod, choisis parmi mille candidats, ont présenté leurs travaux de recherche.
