« Appel à la directrice générale de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé : ''Signalez à la délégation française de l'OMS que la Ligue française contre le cancer contrevient aux articles 67 et 68 de sa constitution et qu'elle politise ainsi outrageusement la profession médicale''. »

Dans une lettre adressée à la maire de Paris, Anne Hidalgo, le directeur des Relations internationales du Centre Simon Wiesenthal, Shimon Samuels, lui exprimait son indignation face à l'annonce qu'« un dépliant serait distribué par la Mairie de Paris dans les écoles primaires parisiennes, diffusé par la Ligue nationale contre le cancer, qui efface Israël de la carte pour le remplacer par la ''Palestine'' ».
M. Samuels la prévenait que « notre Centre invite ses membres et amis à retirer leur soutien à la Ligue nationale contre le cancer et en appelle aux chercheurs israéliens de pointe en ce domaine à reconsidérer toute collaboration future avec la Ligue ».
Le Centre priait instamment la maire de « prendre les mesures qui s'imposent pour retirer ces agendas calomnieux, identifier et congédier l'antisémite responsable de ce révisionnisme géographique et condamner publiquement ce scandale ».
De même, M. Samuels écrivait à Margaret Chan, directrice générale de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS), lui signalant que « cette suppression de l’État d'Israël – pays membre des Nations unies et de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé – par une association médicale française contrevient aux articles 67 et 68 de la constitution de l'OMS sur 'les privilèges et immunités des États membres' et politise ainsi outrageusement la profession médicale ».
« Nous vous prions instamment d'alerter la délégation française de l'OMS de la gravité de cette infraction », concluait M. Samuels.
Ces deux lettres ont également été adressées en copie à l'association israélienne de lutte contre le cancer.

Following the 9 August primaries, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, and Latin American Representative Dr. Ariel Gelblung, addressed four questions to the six remaining Argentine Presidential candidates.

In a letter to Luxembourg Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, expressed “our Luxembourg members' concern at the submission by Cactus Supermarkets to violence and threats of the so-called pro-Palestinian B.D.S. (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) anti-Israel lobby in your country.”

Director-General, Irina Bokova, responded to Dr. Samuels: “... in the fight against discrimination, hatred and racism of all forms, including antisemitism […] UNESCO and the Simon Wiesenthal Centre has moved forward together, joining forces...” “On this basis, the UNESCO Secretariat has written to the authorities in Spain for them to look into the case and to ensure the dissociation of UNESCO from this Festival, including through the use of the Organization's logo.”
Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, expressed satisfaction that “its appeal to UNESCO, and the consequent countermeasures, inspired the Spanish authorities and the Festival organizers to apologize and reinstate Matisyahu to the original programme, proving that BDS can be beaten.”
