The 2021 World Social Forum (WSF), that is meeting from 23 to 31 January, has announced that it is mostly “dedicated to Palestinian issues.”
The WSF opened with Leila Khaled, known for her participation in the infamous hijacking of TWA flight 840 in 1969 – on which the PFLP hoped to find and kidnap Yitzhak Rabin – and of El Al flight 219 in 1970. After her arrest and conviction in the UK, she was released in exchange for hostages taken by other PFLP terrorists.

In a letter to European Parliament President, David Sassoli, and twenty Belgian Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), the Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, drew attention to “the outrageous posthumous recognition of two Flemish World War II Nazi collaborators, for their role in ‘shaping the emancipation of the Flemish language’ (sic), to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Flemish Parliamentary journal.”

Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, had commended Emirates Airlines CEO, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, for “allegedly suspending a pilot who refused to fly a plane to Israel.”
Since then, Tunisian pilot Monem Sahib al-Taba’s statement, “I do not regret it... refusing to participate in a flight to Tel Aviv,” has been removed from his Facebook account which is now closed down, with Dubai-based Al Arabiya, claiming the matter as “Fake News.”
Samuels argued that “the fake news” was a provocation to test Emirates’ response.”
“We are certain that, had the case been a reality, the airline would have acted in the same way – in the spirit of the Abraham accords – by suspending any recalcitrant pilots refusing to fly to Israel or bent on damaging normalization,” concluded Samuels.

Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, commended Emirates Airlines CEO, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, for suspending a pilot who refused to fly a plane to Israel.
The Tunisian pilot, Monem Sahib al-Taba, stated on his Facebook page that, pending a disciplinary committee, “I do not regret it... for refusing to participate in a flight to Tel Aviv."
“Emirates has shown its goodwill in the spirit of the Abraham accords and the normalization of relations with Israel. In Hebrew, KOL HA’KAVOD (All the Honour) to the airline!” concluded Samuels.
UNESCO Grants Academic Certificates to Incarcerated Terrorists: A Second Round

In the 28 years of the Simon Wiesenthal Centre’s NGO accreditation to UNESCO, it came as a shock to learn in February 2020, from the well-respected NGO Monitor, that the organization had granted academic certificates to terrorism “graduates” and their murderous “instructors.”
