“Right now, the French Jewish community has three needs: Security, Security and Security!”

Paris, 12 August 2020

The Simon Wiesenthal Centre’s Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, has called on recently appointed French Interior Minister, Gérald Darmanin: “In view of the rising number of violent attacks on Jewish citizens, it is time to bring back the armed military to guard Jewish neighbourhoods, synagogues, schools and other community institutions.”

He added, “Following the 2015 Jihadi assault on a Paris Kosher supermarket, then President Hollande provided a security detail to all Jewish buildings that needed it... The military guards were eventually removed and never replaced by the Macron administration.”

“We are behooved to join IBUKA against deniers who are members of the Commission on Belgian Colonial Past, to ensure that our mutual victims are not murdered twice.”

“The Simon Wiesenthal Centre has worked closely with IBUKA (“Remember”), the international NGO that emerged out of the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda. We now support IBUKA’s battle for “Genocide deniers to be expelled from the Belgian Commission on its Colonial Past,” stated Dr. Shimon Samuels, the Centre’s Director for International Relations.

Gercek Khayat (True Life magazine) celebrates the ‘conversion’ of Hagia Sophia Cathedral Museum into a Mosque – calls on Erdogan as ‘Caliph’ to establish Islamic rule beyond Turkish borders.” ... “A case of i.d. theft? First of a Christian Cathedral and, now, the Talmud!”

Paris, 8 August 2020

“After Hagia Sophia Church opened to worship as a mosque, discussion returned to the Caliphate, along a route from Mecca to Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and beyond. The shining landmark along the way is Istanbul, through the shrine of Hagia Sophia... The Philippines, Niger, Indonesia are the Land of the Caliphate, coordinating the world’s Muslims... Muslims are brothers!” claims Gercek Khayat, continuing: “They tried to make Fethullah Gulen the Caliph” [Gulen is Erdogan’s arch-enemy currently protected under asylum in the United States].

“It was inevitable that the tragic ammonium nitrate blast in Beirut would set the stage for conspiracy theories, usually emanating from ‘fake news’ extremists or known hatemonger incitement,” stated Dr. Shimon Samuels, Simon Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations.

It is worrying when it comes from a political commentator and broadcaster – in this case, British co-founder of Novara Media, whose content arguably fixates on the State of Israel.

Aaron Bastani – formerly Aaron Peters from his mother’s maiden name, changed to his paternal family surname from Iran, where his grandmother was, reportedly, Jewish.
