Invited to attend the Herzliya Conference – the so-called “Israeli Davos”–, Simon Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, learned from Israeli intelligence sources that an Iranian reprisal for the United States cancellation of the Iran nuclear deal pointed to a terrorism attack against a Jewish organization in France.

Samuels recalled that “the 1992 and 1994 Iran-instigated bombings – respectively against the Israeli Embassy and the AMIA Jewish Centre in Buenos Aires, leaving a total of 104 dead and some 400 wounded – were perceived as a personal message to the Argentine President Carlos Menem, of Syrian origin...”

“In the same manner, an attack in France would be aimed at President Macron – seen in body language as President Trump’s bosom buddy – as a warning to Europe to fight the reimposition of sanctions.”

“Such an attack – if of atrocity volume – would receive accolades and spur on Shi’a terror in its rivalry with Sunni Jihadism, encouraging the Muslim Brotherhood and its ilk, that seek mayhem in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf... It would also be a snub to INTERPOL, which still holds six active ‘red notice’ international arrest warrants against indicted Iranian officials.”

Samuels passed the word through i24 French language television, appealing to President Macron “to take stringent security measures to defend Jewish institutions throughout France.”
