"We are horrified that Hague Mayor authorized a rally under the Tawheed banner of ISIS terrorism".

Paris, 9 July 2014

In a letter to the Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, expressed shock on viewing the film clip of a 4 July 2014 demonstration in The Hague, "of a group presenting themselves as 'ISIS' -  Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (the Levant), calling publicly for the murder of Jews See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXbZTzLgq2s#t=34 The clip was filmed and distributed by the omroepwest.nl website.

Samuels noted that "ISIS is the Sunni Jihadist faction that split from Al-Qaeda, claiming it as too moderate.  Currently it is ravaging Syria and Iraq, territories it has announced as the launch of the Caliphate, a regime to be based on the most extreme interpretation of Sharia".

The letter stressed that "the screams, in the clip of 'Khaybar, Khaybar, Jews, Jews, Muhammed’s army is coming for you!' recall the Prophet’s supposed massacre of the Jews who rejected his call to Islam; often linked to the battle cry, 'Din Muhammed b’il Seif' ('The Religion of Muhammed is the Sword'). The letter also pointed out that "both perpetrators of the Toulouse Jewish school and the Brussels Jewish Museum murders, Mohammed Mehra and Mehdi Nemmouche were driven by just such brainwashing as Jihadi interns in Syria".

Samuels emphasized that "the ISIS rally in The Hague, the Netherlands capital and seat of government, openly  promises death to the Jews of Holland and beyond – a genocidal intent to be taken very seriously".

The Centre told the Prime Minister that "it is horrified at the authorization granted to this rally by Hague Mayor Jozias van Aartsen. The demonstrators were not, as claimed, human rights activists on behalf of Dutch detained Jihad recruiter, Oussama Abu Yazeed.  They were filmed waving the Tawheed banner of ISIS and should have been subject to immediate arrest for incitement to violence".Samuels urged the Netherlands authorities "to spare no effort to close down all ISIS front related activities, both open and covert, in public and in cyberspace".

The letter argued that "Dutch World War II resistance saved only a fraction of Netherland’s Jewry and the Nazi occupation ultimately affected the entire population" adding, "Jihadi terrorism may first target the Jews, but Western democracy is its designated strategic victim.  Its voracious appetite is not limited to the Middle East. The Caliphate dream stretches into Europe.  An ISIS spokesman, only last week claimed Spain ('Al Andalus') and The Hague rally now points to the Netherlands – a once Spanish colony".

"Unless Jihadism in your country is totally quashed, Dutch returnees from their Syrian baptism of fire and Jihadist websites at home will menace Jewish, Muslim and all other citizens of the Netherlands," concluded Samuels.
