In a letter to Belgian Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre's Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, declared that "our Centre is horrified to learn that on Sunday 10 February there is to be a parade in the city of Aalst, featuring a railway wagon with participants dressed as SS officers holding canisters of Zyklon B gas, led by an actor made up as Hitler."

In a letter to European Union High Representative, Baroness CatherineAshton of Upholland, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre's Director forInternational Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, claimed that "despitecontinuous requests, for the last year, from the United Statesadministration and entreaties from the Middle East that the EuropeanUnion place Hezbollah on its terrorism list, on a par with Hamas - bothits political and military wings - the EU has vacillated, at one pointarguing that Hezbollah does not act on EU soil".

In a letter to French Education Minister, Vincent Peillon, the SimonWiesenthal Centre’s Director for International Relations, Dr. ShimonSamuels, protested newspaper ad invitations to an anti-Israel hatefestat a Paris primary school – l’Ecole Primaire publique, 13 rue Fagon.
"Urges authorities to declare state of emergency equipping lawenforcement to take necessary measures to outlaw a clear and present danger to all French citizens - Christian, Jewish and Muslim."

The Director for International Relations of the Simon Wiesenthal Centre,Dr. Shimon Samuels, has raised an alarm at the threats made by MokhtarBelmokhtar, spokesman of the terrorist group that last week attacked theAlgerian gas installation at In Amenas.
"In view of German companies' history of collaboration with Nazi abuses of medical ethics,they must now release consent certificates, insurance claims and propose compensation measures for the uninformed objects of post-War abuses."

In letters to the Chairmen of five major German pharmaceutical companies, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre's Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, stated that, "in view of the history of collaboration of several German industrial and pharmaceutical companies with Nazi abuses of medical ethics and practises during World War Two, we were horrified at the Tagesspiegel report on 'tests carried out in Communist East Germany (the GDR) between 1983 and 1984', apparently, in many cases without the subjects' knowledge".
