Mr President,

I call on you in regard to the article written by Abdul Wahab Adas, Deputy Editor in Chief at state-owned Al-Gomhuriya online newspaper, from 20 February, entitled “The Worst Book in History”.

The article refers to the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion”, a slanderous forgery by the Russian Secret Police at the turn of the last century, in order to use the Jews as scapegoats for the inevitable decline of the Tsarist Empire. The same false accusations were used by Hitler’s Nazi regime to justify the murder of six million Jews (the Holocaust), and since then by antisemites worldwide, of all ideologies and creeds...

The Worst Book in History

“In order to understand why the Israelis are so cruel, so arrogant and so inhumane... several books came to my mind, especially the ‘Protocols of the Elders of Zion’.
“All described it as the most dangerous book in the world, and the worst as well. In it, the Jews make their malicious plan to control the world, through money... They were approved in 1897, at the Basel Conference in Switzerland, which was attended by prominent Jewish figures, headed by Theodor Herzl. These Protocols remained secret, until a Russian scientist, Sergei Nilus, came and published them in a book in 1902, so that people would know the painful truth about the Jews, and understand the terrible Jewish plan.
“Immediately after this book was published, the symbols and leaders of the Jewish community rushed to withdraw it from the market, but despite attempts to hide the book that contains the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the British Museum succeeded in obtaining a copy in 1906. English journalist Victor Marsden translated it for the first time from Hebrew to English... Mohamed Khalifa Al-Tunisi also translated the Protocols into Arabic in 1955.
“From here, the world learned about these Protocols, despite the terrible secrecy imposed on them by the Jewish leaders. I find this introduction necessary before delving into the Protocols, so that we can realize how keen they were to hide them, because they reveal their malicious plan to control the world, monopolize industry, trade, media and propaganda, and spread vice and pornography.
“There are 24 Protocols that reveal the secret plans of the Jews, drawn up by Jewish thinkers and sages in a secret conference... The person who presented them to him stole them from the headquarters of the Zionist movement in France.
“The people of Syria and Palestine used these Protocols in 1921 against the Jewish settlers in Palestine. They said that establishing a state for the Israelis in Palestine supports their plots to control the world.
“The American car manufacturer Henry Ford published these protocols in his newspaper in 1920... in several articles under the title ‘The International Jew - The Most Dangerous Problem’... collected in a book that reached a distribution of 500 thousand copies in America alone.
“Thus, the protocols spread throughout the world. In Japan, it was a best-seller. A Japanese writer described it as evidence of the Jewish conspiracy to control the world. This control was actually achieved through the Jews controlling the greatest power in the world, the United States of America. Which turned into a tool in their hands, working with all its might to achieve the Zionists ’ ambitions in Palestine and the Arab region.
“What is the hidden goal of these Protocols? Spreading chaos and licentiousness through secret, religious, artistic, sports and Masonic associations... The Jews in these Protocols see that it is necessary to gradually corrupt the methods of governance in the world until the establishment of the Jewish kingdom... But the most dangerous thing these Protocols say is: People must be governed as animals... and that dealing with others, even with non-Jews, even the excellent rulers, is like chess pieces in the hands of the Jews, making it easy to entice and enslave them with money, women, or tempting them with positions and other things. This Protocol alone is enough to reveal to us the true character of the Jews and what they do to the Palestinians.
“Also, control over all means of printing, publishing, the press, schools, universities, theatres, and cinemas... And that the Jews monopolize gold. And establish the foundations of the global economy... Which is exploited as the most powerful weapon in corrupting the youth and eliminating consciences, religions, nationalities, and the family system, and tempting people with harmful animalistic desires.
“The necessity of causing global economic crises all the time, so that the world does not rest easy and ultimately submits to Jewish control. And with a deep reading of these Protocols, we say that Israel will be behind a Third World War...
“The Jews were seized with fear, anxiety, and terror, due to the publication of these Protocols. Theodor Herzl issued several statements in which he confirmed that secret documents had been stolen from the Holy of Holies. And that publishing them prematurely would expose the Jews... and that they believe that God gave them human forms originally as an honour to them, and that they alone are His pure children, and that others are of satanic or impure animal nature, and were created to serve the Jews.
“It remains for me to say that these protocols are terrible, but they confirm the truth about the Jews, and that what they are doing these days is a practical application of the Protocols as they set them as their constitution, to become the worst book known to history.”

Mr President, the Protocols is a forgery, as proven by British newspaper The Times already in 1921. Nevertheless, not only has this fake and hateful language been used to launch pogroms, or by the Nazis to trigger World War Two, but was employed to incite popular resentment and mobilization in Egypt and the Middle East on several occasions, leading to disastrous regional conflicts.

Abdul Wahab Adas, and your Government’s newspaper, cannot ignore the falsehood and danger represented by their article. Yet, they seem intent on stoking a fire against Israel and the Jews, especially during the Emergency Arab Summit, just held in Cairo.

Before this gets out of control, they must be stopped.
